Plantations and Woodchip Export Operations:

Following the conference in Sao Paulo, an optional 2-day field trip is available for only 60 delegates to visit forest plantation and woodchip export operations in southern Brazil. Focus of this field trip will be:

• Acacia mearnsii (wattle) woodchipping operations
• Woodchip export facilities at the Port of Rio Grande
• Wattle nursery and plantation visit, including the world's first commercial wattle clonal plantation.
• Harvesting operation, including TANAC's unique harvester for wattle.
• Eucalyptus nursery and plantation visit at Aracruz, including the first commercial E. globulus hybrid clonal plantation.
